For the upcoming Halo: Reach, Bungie have gone all out for forge.  Creating one HUGE map where you can make and do almost anything your warped imagination can think of.

I could describe to you what else there is, but I’ll let the Bungie guys take over…

Jeremiah Barber posted child pornography on Raymond Bryce’s page, and then commented on the photo saying, “Ray, you like kids and you are gay so I bet you love this picture, Ha ha.”

Barber — who had fallen out with Mr Bryce over an unpaid £80 debt, (which OF COURSE makes it OK to make everyone think the guys a pedo!) — removed the post, made on November 23 2008, within 24 hours.

But he later pleaded guilty to making and distributing an indecent image of a child and was fined £1,200.

Today at London’s High Court top judge Mr Justice Tugendhat awarded Mr Bryce £10,000 in libel damages for stress, due to possibly everyone he knows seeing that picture.

What somewhat confuses me about all this is that Barber was the one that OWED the money, what was they guy thinking? “Hmm, I can’t pay him back with money… oh I know! I’ll pay him in kiddie porn and slander, that’s almost like currency right?”

So now all this means is that you should be very careful about who and how you frape. So I guess I can’t use this picture of my mate in a Nazi uniform, kicking puppies…

Which is basically like playing a Heavy Rain the Wii… on the PS3.

Now I have to call horseshit on this one, even from a fiscal view this seems like a bad idea. Everyone who wanted this game should already have it, and by now should have finished it at least 5 times. So instead of selling untold numbers of chronicle extras at £5-8 a pop they’ll be charging 40-odd pounds for a game that not many people are going to buy.

The move edition is going to add nothing new to the game except the way it’s played, which from playing Brawl, I can tell you, having a proper pad controller in your hands makes for better gameplay.

Most zombie stories follow the same formula: Outbreak -> Fall of humanity -> Last few survivors looking for miracle cure.

Mira Grant’s book; Feed, takes a different approach. Yes, there was an outbreak, but mankind didn’t collapse under the invasion, thanks to the most unlikely of people… bloggers.

The fate of the world to a guy like me!? God help us all!

Because of the media practically turning a blind eye to the outbreak, and shrugging it off as some sort of publicity stunt, thousands of people became infected. But the numbers would have been so much higher if it weren’t for the bloggers of the land (or internet even) posting article after article of zombie info and survival tips.

14 years after the outbreak the news media has been boycotted, and the job of journalism has been given to the bloggers.

The world is a different place, but not how most zombie tales go with derelict buildings and scavenger groups. There are communities of people living “normal” lives. The government has place heavy restrictions on travel, but will still give passes to people. Infection testing is commonplace, but most people can test themselves.

The three main characters are all bloggers: Shaun is described as an “Irwin” journalist, blogging about interactions with the Infected, like smacking them with hockey sticks; Georgia (goes by George though) is a straight up journalist stories on the outbreak with no twist; and Buffy (named herself after some vampire show…), a fictional writer. All work together, with the ambition to get enough views and readers too break away from their current network and start their own (Like every blogger that stares at their ***.wordpress.com address) . And that oppourtunity comes along when they are offered the chance to follow a senator’s campaign to become the Republican party’s Presidential candidate. Unfortunately someone doesn’t want him winning, and after a suspicious attack on the compound where his convoy’s staying the three bloggers start looking into a potential conspiracy…

Tweeters who have spent years building an army of followers saw their hard work undone in an instant after twitter HQ was forced to reset the system.

A couple of tweets that showed up in my timeline (Re-tweets of course) came from singer/douchebag Justin Bieber: ‘So I woke up here in LA and Twitter has been hacked. Turns out I am no longer popular,’ (where you even in the first place?) before adding: ‘Hackers, I send a warning…u have now p***ed off over 2 million teenage girls. They are more dangerous than Navy Seals.’

The loop hole it seems, allowed any Twitter user to force another to follow them without permission. This was discovered by staff today. They acted on it when they realized that it had the potential to cause the site’s resident celebrities and high-profile users to be bombarded by spammers and trollers.

Twitter’s millions of users wasted no time in doing what the internet does best and giving the event a catchy title:  ’The Day Twitter Exploded’, OK so not the best but whatever.

Twitter extraordinaire Stephen Fry wrote: ‘Do you know, I was sure I had more followers than that. Must’ve imagine it..’

One thing that worries me about this is that this is medium change (ie cartoon to live action movie) for TLA, and usually they don’t work well, they look great, but they usually cant hold a candle to the original format.

"Teaser" poster for Iron Man 2

At the time of writing, I am waiting for the movie to begin. (I’m writing this on my iPod for those interested). The seat I reserved has been nicked by some chav, but not to worry, as there are a surprising  number of empty seats, so I took a seat a few rows down. Now I just have to wait for the damn adverts to finish, so I can watch the movie.

…2 hours 23 min later…

OK, so despite the fuckers that nicked my seat talking throughout the whole thing, I really enjoyed the movie.

Stark’s arch-enemy in this instalment  is Ivan Danko, (AKA Whiplash, though that name isn’t used in the movie) played by Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), a tattooed Russian whose father co-designed the arc generator with Tony’s father.

As well as Mickey plays the part, he is let down by the script which leaves his objectives unclear, his motivation inadequate and his tactics idiotic.

There are several obvious holes in the script, which include Danko turning up to sabotage Starks’ car, even though Tony only decide to be in the race moments before the green light.

For an action movie, the action scenes are few and far between.

The most hyped up aspect of  IM2 was the inclusion of War Machine, and from the trailers it looked like he would play an important part in the film, turns out, he’s only in for the last 15 min and for 12 of them, he has no control over the suit. Its like the writers finished the script and then realized, “oh CRAP, we forgot about War Machine!” They really could have done so much more with him, instead of just tacking him on at the end.

On a lighter note, the visuals are as amazing as any movie to date and the soundtrack, (mostly provided by ACDC) is brilliant. The whole movie is a tech addict (such as myself) dream, though some of it can be classed as weapon porn.

Overall I rate it 4/5

It is a hit. But it could have been a whole lot better.

On a side note, I wonder if iF2 will be affected by your karma from iF1. Multiple ending games are the hardest to create sequels for. (“Wait… didn’t I kill you in the last game?”)

My Avatar review video from back in December was been run though the speech recognition and now was subtitles, but the problem is, for the most part they don’t fit with what I’m actually saying.

So the patients story is that he (or her, but I’ll continue using the male term, k?) rolled his knee over his fingers. Now, I’ve been a gamer for about 16 years now, and I have never been in the position where it’s possible for me to roll over my own hand whilst playing. I think someone is just trying to hide some overly embarrassing way that they broke their hand and blame it on something cool.
